Brazilian Concert in Amsterdam – 10.04.13 – Bimhuis

Zangeres/danseres Renata Rosa vertegenwoordigt de jongste generatie Braziliaanse musici die laat zien dat er zo veel meer is dan de samba en bossanova uit de grote steden. Afro-braziliaanse feestliederen en muzikale schatten van de Amazone-indianen worden nieuw leven ingeblazen door Rosa, zichzelf begeleidend op percussie en rabeca, de kleine Braziliaanse viool. ‘Direct, joyful… she and her ensemble have an endless energy for performance’ (Huffington Post).
Het Bimhuis restaurant is geopend voor aanvang van het concert van 18:30 tot 20:30 (reserveren aanbevolen 020 7882158). Na afloop van het concert is het Bimhuis Café geopend (gratis toegang).

The elegant singer/dancer Renata Rosa represents the youngest generation of Brazilian musicians showing us that there is so much more than the samba and bossa nova of the big cities. Rosa sheds new light on Afro-Brazilian party songs ands musical treasures from the Amazon Indians, accompanying herself on percussion and rabeca, a small Brazilian violin. . ‘Direct, joyful… she and her ensemble have an endless energy for performance’ (Huffington Post).

The Bimhuis restaurant is open prior to the concert from 6.30 til 8.30PM (reservations via 020 7882158). After the concert, the Bimhuis Café is open (free entrance).
